Located at University Station, 2880 University Avenue, in Madison, the UW Health Eye Clinic-University Station is the main clinic of the UW Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and offers consultation, diagnosis, treatment and surgical management of numerous eye disorders and diseases, including:

  • corneal and external eye disorders
  • Neuro-ophthalmic disorders
  • pediatric eye disorders and strabismus
  • vitreous and retinal disorders
  • uveitis
  • glaucoma
  • plastic and reconstructive surgery for disorders of the eyelids and eye orbits

Also offered are:

  • eye exams
  • eyeglasses and contact lenses
  • refractive surgery
  • corneal transplants
  • cosmetic eyelid and forehead surgery
  • botox injections
  • orthoptics for eye muscle problems

Because we're committed to research on new ways to treat eye diseases, we combine the best in standard treatment with the opportunity to participate in studies of new medications and procedures.

Other Services:

The UW Health Eye Clinic-University Station also has:

  • an optical service, which provides lenses, frames and contact lenses at reasonable prices
  • a pharmacy on the premises with eye drops, ointments and medications for treating glaucoma, eye infections and other conditions
  • a low-vision service that can fit you with special magnifying and telescopic lenses to maximize sight
  • photography and fluorescein anigography
  • electrophysiology
  • ocular ultrasound
  • orthoptics to evaluate and treat eye muscle problems
  • vision testing, including methods to evaluate the eyesight of young children and adults who have difficulty communicating
