Join the Ride to Save Sight

The McPherson Eye Research Institute at UW-Madison is hosting the eighth annual Cycle for Sight event on Saturday, March 9, 2019. The cycling fundraiser raises research funds to prevent, treat and cure blinding diseases.

Cycle for Sight will be held at three locations in Madison this year: Natatorium (2000 Observatory Drive) on the UW-Madison Campus, Princeton Club West (8080 Watts Road), and Capital Fitness (15 E. Butler). The event runs from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

DOVS Cycle for Sight team prepares to ride. Front row, left to right: Krista Christensen, MPH, PhD; Julie Mares, MSPH, PhD, Pingli Wei. Back row, left to right: Adam Christensen; Tom Lawler, MS, RD; Zhe (Jason) Liu, MS

Cycle for Sight does not require any particular skill level. Participants may register as an individual or form a team and are asked to cycle for one hour. If cycling is not an option, participants can choose to walk the indoor track at Princeton Club West. The top fundraising team will win a Precor Spinner Rally Indoor Cycle.

The event has raised more than $100,000 for vision research at McPherson Eye Research Institute at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.

Register by noon on Friday, March 8th at www.vision.wisc.edu/cycle/.
