Travis Rumery, DO, joined the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences comprehensive ophthalmology service team on October 1. Dr. Rumery specializes in cataract surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology.
Dr. Rumery earned his osteopathic medical degree at the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. He then spent his internship year at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Rumery completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then finished his training with a Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery fellowship here at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He spent the past six years in practice with SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean Eye Care.
Dr. Rumery will see patients at the UW Health Deming Way Eye Clinic. He will also provide eye care to communities north of Madison at the Mile Bluff Medical Clinic in Mauston, Wisconsin.
