We anticipate screening and performing 30-40 surgical procedures during our 5 days there. Possible procedures will include frontalis slings and conjunctivo-‐muellerectomies to treat congenital ptosis and dacryocystorhinostomy to treat dacryocystitis and/or nasolacrimal duct obstruction. Two physicians (Dr. Cat Burkat and me) and several nurses including anesthesia nurses will join the mission trip, organized by Sharing Resources Worldwide (SRW). SRW will provide Honduran medical professionals and institutions with donated supplies and equipment and allow them to consistently offer needed services for their needy populations.
