Kyle Peterson, PhD

Kyle received his PhD in Health Informatics from the University of Iowa, with a concentration in Biostatistics. He also has a background in exercise physiology, which pushed his research interests to the intersection of survival analysis and graph mining applied to physiological problems. Kyle has been awarded the American Statistical Association’s Graduate Statistician accreditation, and values the statistical rigor of research design and analysis. He is energized to support DOVS ground-breaking research and be a part of such a committed team.

Previously, Kyle was the head of research and development of an Iowa-based tech start-up using AI to preserve readiness in military servicemembers. He managed the full AI lifecycle for model training, validation, and deployment, as well as created a deep learning architecture for longitudinal EHR and health surveillance monitoring. He currently resides in Iowa City, IA.
