Ophthalmology Grand Rounds

EDUCATION FOR CLINICAL PROFESSIONALS
Residents and faculty present and discuss various case studies with the goal of improving clinical care practice. Held weekly throughout the year, Grand Rounds offers continuing Medical Education (CME) credit for ophthalmologists and Continuing Education (CE) credit for optometrists.

“Precision Oculoplastic Surgery”
Visiting Professor: Don Kikkawa, MD, FACS, Shiley Eye Institute, University of California – San Diego
Dr. Kikkawa is Professor and Chief of the Division of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Vice Chairman at the University of California (UC) San Diego Department of Ophthalmology and Shiley Eye Institute in La Jolla. He also holds a joint appointment as Professor in the UC San Diego Division of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Kikkawa is a past President of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) and presently serves on the Board of Trustees for the ASOPRS Foundation, the Editorial Board of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is a Board Director for the American Board of Ophthalmology. Currently he serves as the fellowship director of the UC San Diego ASOPRS Oculofacial Plastic Surgery Fellowship and is a former program director of UC San Diego’s Ophthalmology Residency Program.
