Frank Myers, MD

Frank Myers, MD, emeritus faculty, received the inaugural UW Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences Distinguished Educator Award at the UW DOVS Alumni Reception during the American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in Las Vegas in November, 2015.

Dr. Myers has been a UW faculty member for 46 years, and was a general practice physician before completing his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin in 1967. He then completed a clinical Retina fellowship under Dr. Matthew Davis in 1968. Dr. Myers is a much beloved teacher. He continues his work with UW medical students through the Patient, Doctor, and Society course, and small group teachings.
