Madison is at its heart a college town, with the pulse of the city driven by the University of Wisconsin academics and athletics. However, Madison also promotes outdoor activities with its lakes, bike lanes and running paths, as well as cultural experiences that include a symphony orchestra, museums, art fairs, festivals, opera, ballet, restaurants and live music venues.
