Low Vision Lunch and Learn Session

In partnership with the Lighthouse Guild Vision Rehabilitation Network, the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is excited to host a Low Vision Lunch and Learn series. The Lunch and Learn sessions will take place at the following clinics on the dates below.

ABOUT MARSHALL FLAX
Marshall worked for the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired for 24 years as a Certified Low Vision Therapist and a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist before retiring in 2014. His work included providing low vision services and orientation and mobility services to people who have lost or are losing their sight. He continues to provide O&M services and to make and sell low vision simulators through his company, Fork in the Road Rehabilitation Services.
He has authored several articles and co-authored a book on the subject of low vision. Marshall’s professional affiliations include McPherson Eye Research Institute Advisory Board, Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Visual Impairment and Blindness, and the Low Vision Subject Matter Experts Committee of the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals.
