Sponsored by the Guillermo and Marta de Venecia Fund, Daniel Mendoza, MD, a vitreoretinal fellow from Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) in Manila, Philippines, joined the University of Wisconsin retina team for a one-week clinical rotation in June. During his rotation, Dr. Mendoza observed in patient care, research, and clinical trials alongside our retina specialists. Dr. Mendoza also presented a poster at the annual Wisconsin Ophthalmology Research Day and took part in the department’s graduation celebration where he received a certificate of completion. The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is proud to collaborate with CSMC on this meaningful biannual cultural exchange, which fosters global learning and professional growth.
