The University of Wisconsin Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS) is ranked 18th in the nation for research funding from the National Institutes of Health, National Eye Institute. As an academic health care system, the UW DOVS trains undergraduates, graduate students, residents and postdoctoral fellows, as well as provides opportunities to medical students and lifelong learners. These opportunities strengthen the future of ophthalmology by training the next generation of physicians and researchers to provide cutting-edge health care to our patients and pave the way for groundbreaking, sight-saving discoveries.
