People Enriching People
The PEP Mentor Program was created to foster and promote the career aspirations for the DOVS and UW Health Ophthalmology community. The mentoring relationship should be seen as a mutually beneficial partnership. The amount and type of mentoring will be tailored to the member’s specific roles, responsibilities and expectations for advancement in their career.
DOVS Equity Alliance
The DOVS Equity Alliance is our department’s grassroots Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) learning group and support community. We are committed to being actively inclusive of all marginalized identities, such as race, sex, gender identity, ethnicity, national origin, documentation status, culture, sexual orientation, religion, age, and ability. We have meetings at least once a month aimed at personal growth, fostering inclusion, having open dialogue and bettering our interactions with others.
