Ophthalmologists at the University of Wisconsin have been advancing the study of eye diseases and specialized care since 1925. Our team includes subspecialists who are national leaders in the treatment of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, eye tumors, macular degeneration, and other conditions. Our opticians and ophthalmologists also offer expertise in routine and preventive eye care.
In addition to developing sight-saving tests and treatments, department members are also studying how the eye changes with age, improving corneal transplantation, and providing advanced training for ophthalmologists nationwide.
We offer consults and new patient evaluations both virtually and in person, and we have expanded telehealth capabilities to support your professional development and patient care needs.
