| Research: | Dr. Danis is the Director of the UW Fundus Photograph Reading Center. This core facility serves more than 50 multicenter clinical trials and epidemiologic studies of retina diseases. Dr. Danis oversees the team of faculty and staff who together interpret the photographs, angiograms, and other images of the eye, and analyze the data for these studies. His research interests include new treatments for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal diseases. He also investigates new methods for the detection of retinal disorders through imaging technology. |
