About the Presenters
Sarah Nehls, MD is a professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and is Director of the Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery Fellowship program. Dr. Nehls received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, completed her ophthalmology residency training at the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed fellowship training in cornea, refractive surgery and uveitis at the University of California, San Francisco. She joined the UW faculty in 2005.
Heather Potter, MD is a professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and is Chief of both the Comprehensive Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Pathology Services. Dr. Potter completed medical school at the University of Iowa. She then completed an ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in ophthalmic pathology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. She joined the UW faculty in 2006.
Evan Warner, MD is an associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and is Chief of the Cornea and Anterior Segment Service. Dr. Warner is also medical director of Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin. He completed medical school, an ophthalmology residency, and a fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery with the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Warner joined the UW faculty in 2018.
Eric Weinlander, MD, FACS is an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Dr. Weinlander received his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, completed residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Michigan, and completed fellowship training in cornea transplantation and refractive surgery at the University of Utah. He joined the UW faculty in 2023.
