2019 Mind and Motion

The ophthalmology portion of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) Mind and Motion course was held on two recent Saturdays, November 16 and 23, at the UW Health University Station Eye Clinic. These 3 to 4-hour morning sessions are a part of a Phase 1 course in the UW SMPH ForWard Curriculum.

During the sessions, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences faculty, fellows, residents, optometrists, and other invited providers taught medical students how to do an ophthalmic exam at a level that a general practitioner should know and be able to perform. The course this year numbered 175 students.
