The McPherson Eye Research Institute and the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired are teaming up to bring you an engaging program on retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and other inherited retinal degenerative diseases, live-streamed on Zoom from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
The program will feature David Gamm, MD, PhD, professor and Emmett A. Humble Distinguished Director of the McPherson Eye Research Institute, whose stem cell lab at UW-Madison is developing potentially groundbreaking photoreceptor replacement therapies for RP and other disorders; and vision services staff from the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired, who will discuss adaptations to living with RP and vision loss until new therapies become available. There will be plenty of time for questions from participants.
