Notes from the Wellness Corner

Make sure that you stay healthy and well this spring! In addition to walking and enjoying the warmer weather, here are a few more ideas to keep in mind:

  • Cycle for Sight (March 10, 2018): Cycle for Sight supports a range of McPherson Eye Research Institute small research grants and programs, and is important in extending the Institute’s research mission. If you have not yet signed up, there are still plenty of bikes remaining at all venues for additional riders – online registration will stay open until the day before the ride.
  • Madison BCycle: Join the Madison bike-sharing program! All UW Health faculty and staff are eligible for the $20 annual membership discounted rate.   • Spring Training: Recruit co-workers and form a team for a six-week physical activity program to improve or maintain your cardiovascular fitness level. This team physical activity challenge is great for people of all fitness levels. More information here.
  • Stairs for Wellness: Join the Stairs for Wellness challenge! Climb stairs to increase your level of physical activity during your workday. More info.
